WE THE PEOPLE INDIA is first web channel for Disability & Rehabilitation. Wharves are a special interest for to persons with disabilities, their families and friends and rehab professionals.
WE THE PEOPLE INDIA is the new way to connect with Today’s persons with special needs, their families, the professionals associated with them and anyone who looks forward to associate and gain insight into issues related with disability, rehabilitation & special education. This project is designed to promote 3 A’s i.e. awareness, availability and accessibility of information that can help persons with disabilities to live, learn, work and play independently and respectfully as well. We work together as a multidisciplinary team that includes interested parents, various professionals, experts, students, counselors and trainees etc.
We are a small group of professional volunteers who work professionally with person with special needs, media professionals, and communication specialists for non-profit organizations. We the people India specializes in offering you with the non-profit services in developing specialized Curriculum based & Awareness Films/ training videos/public service advertisements on Disability , rehabilitation issues & Event Video filming.

Who are we

We serve thousands of individuals with disabilities through a multidisciplinary network of service providers and consumers. In order to reach as many people with disabilities as cost effectively as possible, we target our services and publications to libraries, disability organizations, independent living centers, rehabilitation facilities, educational institutions, and health and social service providers.

Profile of Majid Siddiqui Kabir

Founder & Managing Secretary With his vast experience in radio and television journalism, production, programming and direction, Majid Siddiqui Kabir has been a part of several successful radio and TV shows/documentaries. ‘Phir Wohi Talaash’, ‘Colur My World’, Tv serial ‘Sahil’ ‘Yuvavani Meri Nazar Mein’ are some of his famous works.
He also worked Delhi Doordarshan, All India Radio & UN projects such as “Violence against Women”, “Faces of the Future – Young Population”, “Unveiling the Millennium”, ‘Reached the Unreached Workers’ He has also been actively involved in the work related with the Persons with disability He led a team of professionals for ‘Navshikhar’, a channel dedicated to the disability conducted by Rehabilitation council of India (Statutory body of MSJ&E Govt of India),in collaboration with Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) & Media Lab Asia (MLA). He has also won awards and accolades for his documentaries: Hum Honge Kamyaaab and Jeena Isi ka Naam Hai created on persons with disability and cerebral palsy respectively. ‘Sparsh’, a critically acclaimed documentary on deaf blindness helped him win ‘We Care Film Fest Award’ in 2009.
Mr. Kabir has also contributed to the area of public awareness and has written and directed short films on subjects as varied as blood donation, bijli bachat, women’s rights and national integration.
After having spent two and a half decades, Mr. Kabir continues to work tirelessly with the sole objective of empowering the persons with special needs and making a difference in their lives.
